Grain size in stainless heat-resistant steel
Source:Xinsteel   Date:2020/5/7

If the safety factor is 1.5, the operating pressure of the fluid in the pipe is P1 = P / 1.5; under the same fluid operating pressure, heat-resistant steel needs a thicker wall thickness than stainless steel. In order to improve the mechanical strength at high temperature and normal temperature, many varieties increase the carbon content in the steel. In order to avoid intergranular corrosion, the addition of Ti and Nb is increased. To avoid coarse grains when heat-resistant steel is heated, ASTM A213 stipulates : Heat-resistant steel with high carbon content in H, the grain size number cannot exceed NO.7, the grain size is measured according to the test method of ASTM E112 (GB6394).
